Coming as was previously announced, AT&T has begun accepting pre-orders for the GALAXY S 4 this morning. The handset is available in both black and white and priced at $199.99 on a new two-year agreement. This is for the 16GB model and while AT&T is also expected to have a 32GB model available, that one has yet to show as being up for pre-order.
Not that we expect many to take this route, however those looking to ditch the two-year agreement have the option to shell out the full retail pricing. In this case, that would be $639.99. Comparing the AT&T price to the other carriers, we know that T-Mobile will have the GALAXY S 4 available with a downpayment of $99 (with additional monthly payments).
T-Mobile is expected to have the handset available on May 1. There is also US Cellular who will begin accepting pre-orders today. US Cellular will have the 16GB GALAXY S 4 priced the same as AT&T, that is to say at $199.99 on a two-year agreement. Of course, regardless of where you make the purchase you are looking at a handset that is running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and powered by a 1.9GHz Qualcomm processor with 2GB of RAM and a 5-inch (1920 x 1080) HD Super AMOLED display at 441ppi.
Otherwise, with AT&T having opened up pre-orders for the GALAXY S 4 it now looks like it is time the user to make a decision on which handset to choose. Remember there is also the HTC One, which is priced at $199.99 for the 32GB model. The 64GB One is priced at $299.99 and according to the latest from AT&T — the HTC One should begin shipping today.
