Gameloft is totally a fan of UNO, and they’ve offered a version on Android for some time now. Today though, the folks from Gameloft have just released the official launch trailer for the all-new UNO & Friends cross platform multiplayer game that is coming soon. It will be available on Android, iOS, and Facebook and we’ll all be able to compete together.
Today Gameloft released the official launch trailer, and it’s extremely cheesy to say the least. On the bright side it looks like they at least give us a few seconds to actually see the new and improved user interface for the classic game brought to our mobile devices for multiplayer fun. Get ready for those Draw 4 cards.
It looks similar to Zynga Poker if you ask us – which is a good thing as that layout is quite simple and easy to understand. You’ll be able to create your own game and invite friends, family, and millions of other players from around the world – and of course request players from Facebook. This brings an entirely new level of UNO for Android from Gameloft. Here’s the cheesy video for your viewing pleasure:
The new game will have tons of options and customizations. You can customize your game with unique avatars, fun backgrounds, themed card decks with special effects you pick and more. They’ll have weekly and all-time leaderboards where you can try and get to the top too. Of course the biggest part of this is social.
Gameloft has added Android and iOS cross-platform play to the millions of Facebook users. You’ll be able to share everything, invite with Facebook and much more. Being able to play on Facebook and continue where you left off on Android is key too. For all you UNO fans stay tuned because it should be available soon.
Strange how they talk about Android fragmentation all the time but this game us for Android, iPhone, iPad and iPod. So they need to create three versions for iOS but one version for Android will suffice. Sounds like iOS has the fragmentation issue.
Um… no
I like Gamelofts games, I just wish they’d invest some of that money they’re making into their tech support area. I’ve had a ticket open with them for 2 weeks, and if you read their forums, there’s loads of folks complaining about a lack of response to tickets.
