Verizon lighting up more 4G LTE in Washington and Oregon

Earlier this month Verizon celebrated the 2-year anniversary of their 4G LTE, but they aren’t slowing down anytime soon. We know they’ve been updating at a very rapid pace and today have learned multiple Northwest markets will be getting lit up with 4G LTE. Verizon’s expects their entire LTE rollout to be complete in 2013, and they’re well on their way.

As usual Verizon has updated their news blog with additional details regarding multiple regions getting 4G LTE starting December 20th. Currently they offer their 4G LTE network services to over 400 markets and later this month are adding another 9 in Washington and Oregon. Below is the quick list of a few locations that will get the green light.

Klamath Falls, OR
Roseburg, OR
Kennewick, WA
Pasco, WA
Richland, WA
Port Angeles, WA
Port Townsend, WA
Sequim, WA

Verizon is hitting all locations rather hard as of late. Just a few weeks ago they lit up multiple new networks across different parts of New York that previously weren’t enjoying 4G LTE, and they aren’t slowing down either. Many regions like mentioned above aren’t extremely populated and it shows Verizon’s commitment to cover their entire 3G spectrum with faster speeds.

As mentioned above, Verizon is well ahead of their original plans and schedule for 4G LTE and expect their entire rollout to be 100% complete near the mid of 2013. It’s crazy to think that in just two years they’ve achieved so much. That, and it shows just how far AT&T and the rest are behind.
