Today a smartphone headed for AT&T has leaked over on Twitter. The device is being listed as the Pantech Magnus, and was first leaked back in August with some impressive specs. Today we are seeing a final press image of the device, leading us to believe it will be hitting the shelves at AT&T stores soon.

Leaked on Twitter by @evleaks the Pantech Magnus 4G LTE appears to be running on Android 4.0 or 4.1 Jelly Bean, and has seen a few mild changes since it first leaked a few months ago. According to rumors this device packs the same 1.5 GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core as the Galaxy S III, feature 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and obviously running on AT&T’s growing 4G LTE network.

A quick search finds that Magnus stands for “great”, and Pantech is aiming for more than just the budget crowd with this quality smartphone. We still don’t have any official details on the rest of the hardware such as screen size, resolution, or battery life. Previous benchmarks reveal a 4.3-inch 1280 x 720p HD display on the Magnus, and earlier leaks confirm an 8 megapixel 1080p video camera on the rear, and 1.3 VGA front shooter.

For now we still don’t have any additional details on this upcoming mid to high end smartphone from Pantech and AT&T, but should be hearing more soon. Now that official press images are going around (even if they are poorly photoshopped and missing the notification bar) this is a sign the device is ready to rock. This device is in fact different than the AT&T Pantech Flex, recently released by AT&T, and should be more of a high end smartphone. Stay tuned for further details.

  1. No it is not the Pantech Flex because the Pantech Flex DOES NOT support NFL. The Pantech Magnus DOES support NFL. It might look the same as the Flex but one is missing the NFL and the other one (Magnus) has the NFL. But the specs are the same but just added the NFL support only. Also the Flex has ONLY 8GB of storage while the Magnus has 16GB on board. Which is Nice!
