We’re always interested with news about 1Password because it’s one app that is highly useful and recommended. It was only a few weeks ago that we reported that the service is going into individual subscriptions aside from the Families edition. Earlier this year, it received fingerprint support and has hit over one million installs.
The last update brings some chunky Nougat treats to 1Password. It may take a while before your device receives the new Android OS version (others may never get it) but once it’s ready and installed, you will notice improvement in speed and performance. Meanwhile, battery efficiency has been made better which means less power drain as made possible by the Doze mode.
The latest update which is 1Password 6.4 is ready for Nougat. 1Password has been tested on a Nougat Preview device and as it turns out, there are no major problems expect for a few bugs that can be easily resolved. If you’re an avid 1Password user, you will notice easier access to important details.
The updated app is Nougat-ready alright but it’s still supported on older versions. Some new features include a new setup flow that allows the user to sign into a 1Password account from first launch, add multiple individual accounts, plus have preferences saved for future use. There’s also the added support for multi-window mode while suspended vaults now have a special badge for easier identification.
