Yahoo Search is still alive. Of course, it is. Still the biggest rival of Google Search so don’t think it will ever go away. Yes, Yahoo will continue to improve search to bring everyone the best mobile search experience ever. The company has been working on new features and since February of this year, it’s been teaming up with mobile developers to improve on in-app experiences for Yahoo Search.
There’s the Search in Apps we first learned during the Yahoo Developer Conference earlier this year. But just recently, Yahoo launched Search in Apps with TouchPal. This integration brings the mobile keyboard and Yahoo Search together to provide a better search experience for mobile users.
This Yahoo Search in apps integration with TouchPal Keyboard will be available in the United States initially. We don’t know when it will roll out in other countries but about 16 million Android users can now access Yahoo Search with this development. Finding information from any app is now possible because you can easily do it right on the TouchPal keyboard. This means you can also share the information without having to use the copy/paste functions.
Yahoo aims to bring users a more seamless search experience even when you’re using another app. This Yahoo Search-TouchPal integration will provide access to search directly from the TouchPal keyboard so it’s easier to look for information they need without having to get out of the app.
