Vlingo has announced that it has updated its cool Android app. The new update adds in a new ActionBar and integrates with Kayak, Fandango, and Open Table. The app update offers some really cool new functionality.

The update means that you can use the ActionBar to type or speak search commands for any of the signs you would normally use Vlingo for. You can type or say things like "Hotels in Seattle for tomorrow night" or "Where is Tron playing tonight."

The Kayak integration allows the app to find rooms in any US city that you can rent for the night when on business or vacation. You can also use the app for dinner reservations thanks to Open Table integration. You can say, "Where can I get a burrito" and find a close Mexican restaurant for instance. Check out the demo video below for a better idea what the new update adds.
