Verizon to offer free NFL Mobile Premium Access to 4G LTE Customers

Verizon to offer free NFL Mobile Premium Access to 4G LTE Customers

The lockout is over and now Verizon has yet again teamed up with the NFL to provide exclusive NFL content to their subscribers. With the Verizon NFL Mobile App users will have access to all things Football. Teasing us all with the Droid Bionic on the flyer the NFL and Verizon has announced that they will be giving 4G LTE customers the premium app service for free.

I almost want to switch to Verizon for the NFL Mobile App alone. With this new deal 4G LTE customers will get the NFL Premium subscription absolutely for free. 3G and regular users pay $10 a month for the same service so this is a pretty stellar deal. With NFL Premium you get to watch every ESPN Monday Night, NBC Sunday Night & NFLN Thursday Night Football games. Basically you have all the games one would ever need.

Even better is you’ll get access to NFL RedZone where they show every single scoring play from every game across the league. Again head over to the Android Market and download the official NFL Mobile App, and now you have just one more reason why you should buy the Bionic.

I have a 4G phone in a city without 4g coverage, I’ve been geographically hosed. I guess that’s why a higher power invented the DVR!.

hmm.. will the free content only work over 4G (that would be odd) but I can see where you are coming from.

As long as you have a 4G device you should be able to get free premium whether your on 3G, 4G, or Wifi.. but idk

i’ve got a 4g LTE phone in a 4g LTE area and the app says “NFL content can only be viewed by active Verizon users”.

Fail… Try disabling 4G in settings or with the toggle widget then try again. I know in the past I’ve used NFL Mobile over wifi so idk what to tell ya atm

Seems us rooted users are getting a bit of a screw over from Verizon. Personally for me any application that requires use of the Verizon Sign On Client throws up constant errors (NFL,MY Verizon, Verizon Music etc). This is happening with ALOT of people running different roms.

Isn’t that one of the risks of rooting?  Don’t see why they don’t offer it for tablets though?  It would sell more tablets, especially to non-verizon users.
Hopefully the root mod catches up and addresses this so it works.

I am in a 4G area at this time and when that phone comes out it’s a done deal free NFL and I am all about fantasy football. I’M DONE HEADING TO PRE ORDER NOW!!!

  • Pelly

It would be nice if it worked…….

Is it available on a Galaxy Tab?  Can it be used over WiFi and not 4G all the time (bad reception at my house).  I want it for Redzone mostly.
I’d get one for this probably.  But I’d get the minimum $30/month low data subscription if I could watch it over wifi.

It may have been free for the 2011 season but it’s not now. It would have been awesome. VZW wants $5 per month which still isn’t bas but it crashed my Droid 4 running ICS
