Verizon launches IndyCar Mobile app

There are many fans out there that really enjoy all sorts of motorsports. There are also bunches of apps around that help the motorsports fan to follow their favorite race series. Verizon has announced a new app for Android users called IndyCar Mobile. The app offers fans of the race series all sorts of cool content to allow them to follow the race even if they miss it on TV.

The app offers information on the drivers, standings in the points chase and a lot more. There is a news page that tells all the goings on in the news for the series and a schedule page for all the races. The app also offers video and photos from INDYCAR Nation and Verizon users can participate in special weekly fan promotions.

The app is available for more than 25 different Verizon wireless smartphones including the Thunderbolt and the Xoom tablet. Any Android-based smartphone can run the app and it is free. Verizon customers can get the app by texting INDY to 3406 or just get it from the Android Market.
