Considering the fact that you are reading this post, you must be a fan of technology news. With the Android cupcake update, we gained the ability to get widgets on the Android platform and so far there have been over 200 widgets hit the Android Marketplace.

techbuzz

One of the cooler widgets for geeks looking to keep up with their tech news without having to actually go to their favorite sites to find the news is Tech Buzz. The app is from Mippin and allows the display of content feeds on the home screen of an Android device.

The feeds fall into tech news, mobile news, Android, gadgets, gaming, and tech videos categories. The app can be configured to check for new content from every five minutes to only once per day. The app also lets you send favorite news posts to friends via email, SMS, or Twitter.

  1. looks very nice =D
  2. I really like the interface, especially the navigation - the way you can flick across to go change articles and scroll down to read the full article.

I would love to see the same interface on a more general news and headlines widget.
  3. I "loved" this app! It works GREAT, looks great, and is almost perfect. I had to uninstall it though since it always runs in the background. It is the only app that keeps popping up in Advanced Task Manager that i'm not even using. I can't have it running when i'm not using it. Also, I'm not even using the widget for it. Thats the only problem...but its a big one. I dont want it using up my battery and/or phone resources when i only need to look at it once a day.
  4. Am I the only one that hasn't been able to get videos to play off this widget?
