TmoNews has gotten their hands on some crystal clear images of the long rumored HTC myTouch 4G Slide. While the original myTouch 4G came out last November, rumors of this keyboard-bearing version have been swirling about since March. While we still don't know when the phone might launch, these pictures came along with a few more bonus details about what to expect when it does.
The myTouch 4G Slide looks pretty similar to the original, but features a slide out keyboard. TMoNews' tipster gave a quick comparison to HTC's last keyboard bearing phone, the G2 (known as the Desire Z internationally). The tipster said that the keyboard feels similar in quality to the G2, but the phone itself is slightly heavier. The myTouch 4G has a slightly larger screen then the G2 did though, perhaps explaining the weight difference, but no number was given for this version.
Software wise, the phone is said to be running Gingerbread, and according to the tipster "Sense much like the Sensation but with some specific myTouch features." We imagine this references the "genius button" which has been featured on all of T-Mo's "myTouch" devices thus far. By "much like the Sensation," it seems safe to assume it is running Sense 3.0, the newest version featured on both the Sensation and the Evo 3D. The image shows a launcher which is much more similar to the original myTouch 4G's then the Sense 3.0 launcher though, so we'll have to wait and see if this is an aesthetic difference or if it is an older version of Sense.
That is the extent of the specifics given, but the tipster mentions that the phone is "surprisingly fast." Hopefully this hints at a dual-core processor, but for now all we can do is speculate for now. With a leak this blatant it hopefully won't be long before some more concrete details emerge. myTouch and keyboard fans stay tuned if you're looking to this as your next device.
