Good news today from T-Mobile folks. It looks like HTC and T-Mobile have finally completed testing for the HTC Sensation 4G and its upgrade to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. After multiple announcements, details, previous reports of coming soon and more, it looks like it will finally be available possibly sometime this month.
Previous reports suggested the update had been severely delayed, and that it might not be available until sometime in June. Today's news is an indication that the update will be available very soon, possibly within the next 2 weeks considering testing has been completed and all systems are a go. T-Mobile has just confirmed this today on their official support blog.
May 2 News: The Android 4.0 (ICS) update for the HTC Sensation 4G has completed its testing process and we expect it to be available very soon. Please stay tuned for an official communication from T-Mobile regarding how and when you’ll be able to receive the update.
That is good news. Usually the official update rollout begins very shortly after the testing process has been completed. T-Mobile will need to get everything in place and will then start pushing out the update for the Sensation. While "very soon" could mean anything, considering all the other Sensations have already received the update we have a feeling T-Mobile will be working hard to bring this to customers as fast as possible so stay tuned for further details.
