The Sony Xperia Z3 was once pulled out from T-Mobile’s website. The mobile network discontinued the said deal without telling us why. At first we thought it was because the Xperia Z4 was already in production but others are saying the model wasn’t really selling. This time though, it’s the Xperia Z3 Compact’s turn to be discontinued.
If you visit the official US website of Sony, you won’t find the Xperia Z3 Compact. It’s already listed under the “discontinued” category. The device is still available though in other countries and in Amazon, Newegg, and Best Buy. Sony’s not listing about the the product for sale can be a big thing but it could also mean a lot of things.
The $470 Sony Z3 Compact is not exactly a bestseller but it’s a good phone. We’re not sure if it’s just out of stock or again, Sony could just be paving the way for a newer model or the Sony Xperia Z3+ which is also the known as the Xperia Z4 in Japan. Even with this change, we can’t call the next Z3 Compact as the Z3+ Compact because we’re also expecting the Xperia Z4 Compact.
The Sony Xperia Z4 Compact is highly anticipated now. Let’s see if it will feature high-end specs and a less than 5-inch display screen.

I really loved my D5803 Z3 Compact. It actually worked on both of Verizon’s LTE bands, albeit as a data only device.
I returned it to Best Buy as the Z4v was announced. While I prefer the size of the Z3 Compact, the Z4v’s CDMA voice support and smaller size (versus the Z3v) is a better compromise.
Now I would pay full retail in a heartbeat for a Z4 Compact that worked on Verizon. Full retail. Hear that Sony?
