Sony isn’t wasting any time talking about and teasing their upcoming smartphone almost daily as of late. Between leaked images all month long, to official teaser clips over on Twitter. Well, now they are upping things a little further by posting some images on their official Facebook page showing off the waterproof ability of the upcoming Xperia.

Just like the Xperia Z and a few others before it, we all assumed the upcoming Sony Xperia i1 camera-centric Honami smartphone would be waterproof. However, this afternoon Sony has confirmed that themselves with the quick little image you see above.

This is the first image from Sony that actually shows off the entire design. Well, most of it, but we’ve seen it all before from the flurry of leaks all month long. At this point we’ve seen it all, and this only serves as a confirmation of waterproof features since it comes from Sony themselves.

This 5-inch 1080p device with an impressive 20 megapixel camera on the rear all powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is set to make a splash. In more ways than just one. Not only is it waterproof but it has top tier specs in a sleek waterproof casing, rocks Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 2.3 GHz quad-core processor, and the camera should be stunning. It should be announced early September in Berlin at IFA, and we’ll be there live with the latest news.
