In an note that certainly gave us a burst of confidence in the future of the device, Samsung has confirmed with us firsthand (then secondhand as well) that the brand spanking new T-Mobile Sidekick 4G will feature not only Mobile Hotspot, but Tethering as well! This is fabulous news from a phone that essentially ushered in the new era of texting which then ushered in the new era of… everything else!
As we noted back in the official announcement post for this newest version of the Sidekick family, the 4G speed 2011 monster on T-Mobile and manufactured by Samsung, this phone was originally created in 2002 by a grouped called Danger. Since then it’s seen more than one revision but always the same basic shape and functionality. Now it’s got Android and everybody’s celebration’.
Now that this phone is confirmed to also have Mobile Hotspot and Tethering options, there’s no holding it back, right? Sprint’s version of 4G coupled with the legendary push-up and flip-up screen, with some rather spaced-out keys to complete the package. Behold a lovely oddity.
