Samsung Galaxy S2 i9200 features 2GHz, 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Display and More

05 July 2010 by Effie Tjhai

Samsung Galaxy S2 i9200. Long name, right? Well, apparently this big guy is the successor of the Samsung Galaxy S, and it’s all set to be released in early 2011. The Galaxy S2 will have a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display with approximately 340 pixels per inch. Also, there will be a 2GHz CPU paired with 1GB of RAM and a 4GB ROM, together with 32GB of flash storage and a microSD card slot.

It’s also going to have an 8 megapixel camera with 1080p full HD video recording. If that’s not enough to make the cake enticing, it will also carry Android 3.0 at launch. Its also got Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n, GPS, a gryoscope, an accelerometer, proximity and ambient light sensors thrown in for good measure. So while everyone’s excited to get their hands on the Galaxy S in its current iteration, at least you’ve got something to look forward to when you drop your hard-earned money down now, right? Sure, it’s all rumor right now, but it sure does look like this is where the market’s going, doesn’t it?

  1. Too bad is Samsung. When they prove themselves with the Galaxy S and actually support their phone I might consider them. Until then, I'm waiting for a dual core HTC phone.

Sent from my Nexus One using Android Community App
  2. if only it ran Vanilla Android
  3. if it is actually that thin, with those actual specs. and the samsung whatchamacallit messing with the os ui can be turned off. I might consider this for my next phone, early 2011 will be a good time to start shopping again.
  4. Don't think it can be turned off per say but you can run a home replacement and it works like vanilla android. I had a Behold II, I won, with Touch Wiz and ran a home replacement and it was just like my G1 at the time.
  5. Of course if gingerbread does it's supposed purpose there will be less incentive for this to be skinned.
  6. the phone looks amazing and slim. Really a good phone to own.. right now no plan to change nexus one.
  7. This has got to be a fake... the pic is a photoshop job. Plus it's way thin. And, 4GB ROM? i9200? eh... fake.

Samsung i9200 Galaxy S2 is Probably a Fake
  8. I have to agree, total BS. Why would Samsung allow a leak of a new phone thats 2x better then its soon to be or just released headset? Because they want to hurt their sales? I think not. Don't buy into this. I'm sure we'll see phones with these specs but I'd bet not until late 2012 heading into 2013.
