If you’re still looking for a health app that would fit your needs and help you reach your fitness goals, you can now experience what Samsung Galaxy users have already been experiencing. S Health, which was previously exclusive for Samsung users only, is now available for other Android devices, and may become your “all-in-one companion for your healthy lifestyle.” Not only will it track your every day activities, but it will also help you reach your goals with training programs.

While most OEMs have a built-in fitness app already, it never hurts to try another one in case you’re not satisfied. Samsung Galaxy and Gear owners were pretty happy about S-Health (well, for the most part), and now non-Samsung owners can find out why. Some treat it as their personal fitness trainer where you set your targets, then it helps you create programs to reach those goals, and then helps you keep track of your progress.

Your dashboard lets you take a quick glance at all your relevant stats and information. But if you want a more detailed story, you can also customize and personalize it by adding or removing Goals, Programs, and Trackers. Aside from activity tracking, the app also measures and manages heart rate, SpO2, and ultraviolet using the sensors in your smartphone and wearables if you have any.

In their changelog for the latest update, they say that the S-Health app is now compatible with Samsung smartphones starting from Galaxy S3 and above, as well as non-Samsung devices. However, some devices and tablets may not be supported, but they didn’t mention which.
