The Notion Ink Adam tablet has been a hit ever since we first saw it at CES last year, some even say it's the only Android tablet in which they show any interest in purchasing. Here we are almost a year later, and sure we've had information coming from the company on a regular basis, but we still haven't heard any word of a release date or even had the chance to test one out and see the progress for ourselves.
However, this may be about to change. You can see on their newly updated site a counter in the upper right corner that is in binary code. Reading 1110 today (14) 1111 on Wednesday (15) and 10001 on Monday (17) we definitely have ourselves a countdown, and it just may be leading to something big.
The new site is full of easter eggs for "sneaky fellows" to find. On top of the binary countdown, users looking through the source code of the website have found out we will be seeing a revealing of a mystery hidden sensor here soon. Looking through the source code, you can find the following:
“For any sneaky fellows looking through the code, heres a tidbit for you, theres a very awesome hidden sensor we’re gonna be revealing soon.”
Also of note, starting Wednesday we saw a new code appear right below the binary countdown. The code reads "-D5720A80" and links over to Notion Ink's tech specs page, but so far its meaning is unknown. This could be referring to this new "hidden sensor" but all we can do is wait for more hints, or possibly wait until December 9th to find out if these two codes are linked.
We can only hope that this countdown leads to something big like an official announcement of availability, or a pre-order date, but we will have to wait to find out. As always, we will be keeping you updated on this much hyped Android tablet as new word comes in.
