The Xoom was, by far, the best tablet we saw at this year’s CES. Earning Best in Show 2011, the powerful tablet will be one of the first devices to ship with Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The launch date and pricing information has been a bit of a blur for those interested and it looks as if we may finally have some ground as to when we will see the much-hyped tablet.

According to an internal Best Buy document, the Motorola Xoom will go on sale February 17th. Not only has the date been revealed, the price of the tablet has been pegged to $699.

The Xoom will ship with 32GB storage and will it Best Buy stores February 16th with units going on sale the next day.

  1. I don’t think rooting ur tab will be as big a bonus as rooting your phone. Although I’ve never use motoblur, ill give it a chance. I’m sure someone will break it, if its bootloader is indeed locked like the X and 2 Droids. Anyone know about the bionic’s bootloader yet?

  2. Hmm.. a 32gb $700 quirky android tablet.. or a $700 laptop?

    Considering a gaming laptop would be 1000x beter than ANYTHING a tablet could do. I’ll take the gaming laptop w/ 5650+ dx11 graphics, thank you. Nice try anyway. Price it right.. ($350) and you might have something there. Motorla is on drugs, just like HP, and (I hope not)Samsung if they think they can overlap laptop pricing for 7-10″ tablets.
