Metal Slug X blasts onto Android

If you’re looking for a new game for your Android smartphone or tablet, Metal Slug X is now available to download. The game is a remake of Metal Slug 2 and has a number of new features that promise to make the game very entertaining. Screenshots for the game show a decisively old-school feel.

This game originally launched for the NeoGeo and is a 2-D run and gun series from back in the day. The developers of the Android gave promise an arcade-perfect port of the original game from the Neogeo console. Once you clear an individual mission, you can select that mission and play it individually in the game’s Mission Mode. That feature allows you to replay your favorite stages and practice for stages you have a difficult time on.

The game features customizable controls, including an Auto fire function allowing for rapidfire action by holding down the shoot button. The game also allows users to reposition the virtual buttons outside of the game screen area using a Window Mode. The app also supports multiplayer gaming using Bluetooth connectivity.

Players can play head-to-head against their friends and team up to assist friends on difficult missions. The game also supports network ranking functions allowing users to compete for the best scores with other gamers from all around the world. The game is available on Google Play for $3.99 for devices running Android 2.3 and later.
