Lenovo have confirmed that, despite some rival Android handsets seeing their Chinese launch delayed, they plan to push ahead with the Lenovo Lephone launch there nonetheless. Of interest to the rest of us, however, is confirmation that the Lephone will also see an overseas launch later in 2010.
The Lephone was announced at CES 2010 earlier this month, and is a touchscreen smartphone running Android on a Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon processor. While normally it’s a candybar format device, Lenovo have also been showing the Lephone off with a snap-on clamshell keyboard/case which should aid text-entry.
No word on exact pricing, Chinese availability or which countries Lenovo plan to ship the Lephone to next.
