Rumors of an HTC tablet are continue to hit the net, regardless of HTC’s stance on their development of a tablet device. This new tablet is going to be one of the most impressive tablets hardware wise we will see for a while, if released. The mysterious device is said to be housing a dual-core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and a capacitive multi-touch screen with a resolution of 1280 x 720 (720p). All of this coming at a hefty price, around $790.
Other presumed specs include a 32GB SSD, 2 GB of RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. It will run some form of Android with Chrome web-app support as well as access to the Android Market. 3G may be coming but no word has been leaked on which carriers would be providing the service for the powerful tablet.
3G would make sense because it would also open the door to subsidies to take off some of the sting of a nearly $800 device with a 2-year contract. We have already heard word via Taiwan based component makers that HTC may be releasing a tablet in the first quarter of 2011. It’s expected to run Android 3.0 Gingerbread however, with specs this powerful, it may open the door to more complex operating systems.

That is an ipad in the picture, at least make the pictures right before making a claim…idiots
Take the sting out of the over inflated price by tying oneself to a $100 a month two-year contract? This thing will not sell. It looks like there’s nothing out there that wants to/can compete with the iPad. And where is this baby available lo these 7 months later? Nowhere, that’s where. Getting tired of searching for a decent Android based tablet at a competitive price. I asked at a couple forums, where I was told by several people I should get a Nook color and add a custom ROM. Um, I think I’ll wait, thanks. What a kludge.
will flyer tablet , be better than lg g slate ? so far only upsides to flyer ive heard are, onlive gaming which i hope will be coming to other android based tablets, and homescreen 3d layout
