HTC Rezound now only $49.99 – ICS coming this week

If you want one of the better 4G LTE smartphones from Verizon, along with an HD screen and Beats Audio the HTC Rezound is a pretty great choice. Lucky for you guys Verizon has recently lowered the price of the handset to just $49.99, making it one of the better priced LTE phones available. What’s even better is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be on the device within the next week or two.

It’s no HTC One X which we reviewed this morning, but it is still an impressive phone and now has an even more impressive price. Whether this is just to clear inventory, or to make room for the new HTC DROID Incredible 4G is unknown. Android 4.0 ICS and Sense UI 3.6 leaked for the Rezound late last week, and we’ve recently learned that the over the air official update to Google’s latest, Android 4.0.3 will be hitting the HTC Rezound starting Friday — as long as Verizon gives it the green light. So while it doesn’t have it yet, the Rezound will be among the first with Ice Cream Sandwich, and now can be yours for only $49.99 so you better hurry and snatch one up.

    The Razr models were supposed to be updated over the weekend, which didn’t happen. I wish my Rezound would get it by the 6th, from what I’ve heard, but not holding my breath.

    This phone has got to be the most underrated of all the phones in verizon’s lineup.  I might have gotten the Razr Maxx had it not been out of stock, but I’ve lived with the Rezound for a month now and it’s a very decent phone.  Screen isn’t as bright as I’d like, but the pixel density is astonishing and it really makes a difference when reading, watching video etc.  Plus, the beats headphones are better than some Sony earbuds you could pay $49.99 for.  This phone is a steal, and when it gets ICS, it’ll only enhance it’s already stellar attributes.

    Coincidently I talked to a Verizon rep today about the Rezound.They are not getting anymore in(Rezounds) unless you special order it & they can have it the next day. The new Rezound is being fitted with a quad core processor & is due out in July.

    ICS does not look like it’s coming this week, I just contacted Verizon 5 minutes ago and they said; “ICS will be released on the Rezound in the coming months”.

    HTC Rezound – still higher specs than the new Incredible 4G, best screen in the industry with pixel density and clarity, maybe not the brightest, but still the highest res for a phone.  Internet on 4G is wicked fast.
    I want my ICS too…c’mon Verizon!!  (Reason for the wait – VZW is filling it with crap Bloatware)I don’t understand why so little attention is given to this phone…it makes iPhone 4s look like a kids toy.

    I have looked at the resound at a couple of stores and I haven’t seen it for 49.99. Can anyone tell me where they saw it for that price.
