Google has issued a set of updates for multiple applications today, and a few were worth mentioning. First up was Google Movies & TV, but that wasn’t anything special. The important ones are YouTube and the Nexus Q companion app. YouTube was updated to version 4.0 for ICS+ devices, same goes for many older devices too. Along with both updates YouTube now fully supports the Nexus Q.
Both the YouTube and Nexus Q apps have added support for older versions of Android. Previously the Nexus Q wasn’t supported on older Android versions, but today it is now compatible with all Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread and above devices. The Nexus Q started shipping yesterday, so these updates are right in time.
Another feature for YouTube is turning our phones into remotes, and using them to control and play YouTube videos on other devices. Okay Okay, I’ll mention Google Movies. Apparently downloads will now be faster after the latest update, and Google solved a few bugs too. Nothing all that new or spectacular here, but head to the links below to get updated.
