Google Maps updated with better battery life and latitude location history

Google has just issued another update for their Maps application today that has brought more features and improves the battery life for all you guys replying on Google Maps. The other main update here is aimed for those that use Google’s Latitude and location based services. More details below.

The update isn’t a large one, nor does it bring any huge changes or features but it’s these small improvements to battery life and efficiency that makes Google Maps the best. Living in Vegas where you can’t turn around anywhere due to road dividers I use Maps all the time and am looking forward to the better battery life.

Google also states they’ve increased battery life for latitude and location based services so while waiting for GPS we shouldn’t have as much battery drain. Along with those changes they have included a history option for latitude users. You can now see location history if you’d like. I’m not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing, but we’ll take the updates either way. Get it now from the link below and enjoy!
