Fujifilm offers doctors new way to see x-rays and more from Android phones

The number of smartphones in use around the country has boomed and one of the groups that have perhaps the most to gain from a smartphone that can access important data remotely is physicians. Fujifilm has announced a new app that is available for Android phones called Synapse Mobility.

The app interfaces with the Fujifilm suite of Synapse products allowing doctors and radiologists to get their hands on important and critical images wherever they may be with a network connection. The app allows the interfacing with an Android smartphone and software from Fujifilm that shows x-rays, cardiovascular scans and a lot more.

The app offers the doctor high resolution 3D images rather than static flash files. The images can be manipulated and zoom is available for closer looks at specific areas. The app is cool and could actually save lives with docs being able to get a look at an injury and start treatment before they actually arrive at the hospital.
