The iPad is burning up the sales charts and putting a serious crimp in the sales numbers of some major netbook players like Asus. Many of these traditional companies that are into netbooks and notebooks are looking to Android tablets to fight the iPad.

The latest such iPad competitor is set to launch in about a week and is called the eLocity A7. The tablet is still a bit secretive at this point and all the maker will tell us is that the A7 runs Android and has a 7-inch screen.

The tablet physically measures 8.2″ x 4.8″ and is designed for portability. Presumably the device will be able to stream mobile TV shows since its being pushed by Stream TV Networks and web surfing and Android Market access are undoubtedly going to be present. We will get the full details on the 24th.
