Already? Didn’t we just showcase a pie chart from Google, showing where the state of Android is, and all of its versions released out into the world? Surely we did. But, apparently the numbers have changed enough that Google feels it’s that time again, and we can’t argue with Google. So, here we are with another chart.

As it stands right now, Android 1.5 is still on 15.3% of devices; while Android 1.6 is on 20.3%. Android 2.1 gets a new record set, as it’s now on 59.7% of devices. (That’s pretty big, if you ask us.) Now, Android 2.2 has certainly climbed a bit, as it is now present on 4.5% of Android-based devices. Of course, we should already expect a new pie chart here soon, as the Android 2.2 update has just recently been released for the EVO 4G, will be released for the original Motorola Droid, and will be updated on the Motorola Droid X here probably by the end of August. And let’s not forget all those Samsung Galaxy S devices, either. Ah, the anticipation!
