Cyber Monday is upon us and, naturally, so are last minute sales and discounts. Coming close to the end is Amazon who is now offering its brand new 7-inch Kindle Fire HDX with a substantial $50 discount.
The Kindle Fire HDX 7″ is Amazon’s answer to Google’s 2013 Nexus 7, showing off the retailer’s best foot when it comes budget priced tablets that don’t skimp on features. A 2.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800, 2 GB of RAM, and a crisp 7-inch 1920×1200 resolution display is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many more features that can be said of this tablet as seen in our review summary here.
Those who do not favor Amazon’s custom Android experience, now formally called Fire OS, will probably be more content with a Nexus 7. But those who have fallen head over heels with the Kindle Fire HDX, as well as Amazon’s shopping and ebook ecosystem, but are slightly budget-constrained may now have a chance to grab one. For a very limited time, Amazon is selling the Kindle Fire HDX 7″ tablet for only $179. That’s a good $50 lower than the regular $229 price tag.
Amazon has also put the 2013 Kindle Fire HD through the same price cut, though details are a bit shaky now. The tablet, which sports a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and a 7-inch 1280×800 display, is being sold for $119 instead of the regular $169. The Cyber Monday Deals page shows that the deal is over, but clicking on the link for the device itself still shows the discounted price.
