Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 will soon be ready in Asia

Alcatel is one of those few reliable makers of affordable smartphones that continue to offer new products so the Android community has fresh options every time. We’ve lost count of how many models have been introduced the past few months but we can say that the French phone manufacturer has a lot of devices ready for all of us. After the OneTouch Idol 3C, Pixi First, and Pixi 3 (10) tablet were unveiled in Berlin and the Alcatel Xess tablet impressing us with its 17-inch display screen, here comes the mid-range OneTouch Flash 2 that will be available initially in seven markets in Asia.

The OneTouch Flash 2 features a 5-inch screen with a 720p IPS display, MediaTek MT6753 chipset, 1.3 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU, 13 Megapixel ISOCELL camera (with autofocus and dual-tone dual-LED flash), 5MP selfie cam with LED flash, 16GB internal storage, 2GB RAM, and a 3,000 mAh battery. There’s also a microSD card slot for storage expansion, dual SIM support, and 4G/LTE connectivity aside from the standard WiFi, 3G, and Bluetooth.

We have no information on pricing yet but Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 already runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. We’re not sure if it will ever be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow when the version is released but, at least, we know this one has the sweetest version so far.

Phone will be available for purchase in India via Flipkart and via Lazada in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, and Thailand in the coming weeks. The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 will be ready in Mica White and Volcanic Grey variants.
