Acer Stream August 9th launch confirmed

We’d already spotted the Acer Stream product page over at Expansys, with the new Android smartphone showing up there with an “early August” release estimate, but now the whole thing has been made official.  According to the press release, the Stream will arrive on August 9th 2010, priced at £399 including VAT ($615), though the product page is currently showing August 7th as the due date.

Your money gets you a 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, HSDPA, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Bluetooth 3.0 and WiFi b/g/n, all in a chassis that’s 11.2mm thick.  OS is Android 2.1 with some Acer tweaks, and there’s an HDMI output for sideloaded content or 720p HD video you’ve shot with the 5-megapixel camera.  Anybody tempted?
