I mentioned that Acer Liquid A1 Android smartphone that tipped up earlier this week before. The handset looks cool and the first time we laid eyes on it all we could see were a few still photos of the device. Today a full hands on has tipped up to give us a bit more of an idea what the device is like.

We know the handset will run a Qualcomm Snap Dragon processor and have things like 3G connectivity, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. We still don’t know how fast the little handset will be, but it should be speedy.

The device should be the first Android device with the 1GHz Snapdragon CPU to hit the market. The thing has some cool LEDs across the top to show battery status and when you have messages. Status LEDs are cool, but I still want more details. I hope that they will be coming soon.

  1. Going to be my next phone , even without a keyboard.

The whole not having a Keyboard thing is not as big of a deal as most would think!
I still have my G1 and now I have a Hero and I enjoy using both just as much.
With the Hero the more you type with it, it stores words you use often into memory So when you type it again even when pressing the wrong virtual keys the suggestions it makes get more accurate and you can just hit the space key and keep chucking on!
    You will love it!!
I'm Holding out a little longer to compare all different phones with 1GHz processors because some will have more RAM and that's gonna be a deciding factor for me.
for e.g. the Touch HD 2 (although not a Android device) has:
    Processor: 1GHz
    ROM: 512 MB
RAM: 448 MB and that's a nice paring!!

  3. I'm not a very good typist even with a keyboard. I think it's just what I'm used to for now.
  4. i like the little notifications on top, i still think the thing has a huge bezel and they couldve made the screen size a little bigger
