ZTE is still facing some challenges especially in the United States but the OEM will have a US carrier launch this year. An MVNO known as Visible is releasing a new $99 smartphone called this early as the ZTE Visible R2. Hopefully, this will be a game-changer since last year was difficult for the company. ZTE has stopped working with a number of suppliers based in the US. The move almost made ZTE to stop operations but it’s slowly making corporate changes. It paid the fine so it can finally go back to the mobile business.

ZTE hasn’t brought any new smartphones to the US but that will change soon. ZTE has tapped Visible MVNO to offer unlimited service to mobiles users for only $40. There’s the ZTE Visible R2 phone which is only available with a sub $100 price.

The ZTE Visible R2 comes equipped with a 5.45-inch LCD IPS display, 18:9 full view display, 1.4 GHz Quad-Core chipset, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera with flash, fingerprint-resistant design, 16GB onboard storage, 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor, USB-C 2.0 charger, microSD slot for memory expansion (up to 2TB), and a 3100mAh battery. We suspect this is a branded version of the ZTE A0722 from China.

This is not a flagship phone by any means, but it’s not a bad package for $99. There’s even a Type-C port, which is still rare on cheap phones.

The ZTE A0722 can take advantage of the $40 offering unlimited service for every month. The offering “unlimited” service. The ZTE Visible R2 isn’t a flagship phone. It’s only an affordable smartphone that we know most people can buy.
