Have you ever been in a situation where you want to show something on your phone, whether at a business meeting or at a party, but your device’s screen will not do justice to the picture or video you want to share? This particular dilemma has been solved with the advent of pico projectors, and the ZTE SPro2 is the latest to join the party and it will be offered exclusively by AT&T.
It might not have the highest quality for projecting as compared to actual projectors, but the Android powered device has a native resolution of 1280 x 720 and can project up to 120 inches with a brightness of 200 lumens. It also has twice the brightness of the previous version of the product. Not bad for a handheld smart projector you can carry around with you. It can last for around 3 hours of video streaming on a single charge with its 6,300 mAh battery. Since it runs Android, you can also project content from Google Play, including games, movies, videos. etc.
But more than just being a projector, it can also serve as a mobile hotspot with 4G LTE connectivity, and that’s where AT&T’s network comes in handy. The carrier claims it has the most reliable 4G LTE network in the country and also has the strongest LTE signal. It can connect with up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices, according to AT&T’s SVP for Device Marketing and Developer Services. The SPro2 also has support for micro SD cards, USB and USB sticks and HDMI cables as well.
But before you get all excited to own the ZTE SPro2, there are no details yet as to how much it will cost and even when it will be available. So you have time to mull it over if having a pico projector is a need or just a want. But if the offer from AT&T is reasonable, why not?
