ZTE’s Nubia Red Magic Mars seems to be making waves in the mobile industry. If you still have no idea what the phone offers, note that it is one of the fastest smartphones today. Last month, the AnTuTu benchmark tool listed the Red Magic Mars phone as the No. 1 when it comes to speed. The device has surprised us by overtaking the Huawei Mate 20’s performance back in December. The last AnTuTu ranking for January 2019 is already out and the ZTE-branded phone is still on top of the ranking.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro has gone down after being overtaken by the Xiaomi Black Shark Helo and the Honor Magic 2. Added to the new list are the ASUS ROG gaming phone and the Vivo NEX S. These tw also beat the Nubia X by ZTE and the first-gen Black Shark from Xiaomi.
Most of the devices part of the list are equipped with either a Kirin 980 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 945. We’re assuming the list will drastically change this February and March as new premium flagship Android phones will be introduced at the Mobile World Congress.
MWC 2019 will be the launching pad for new phones that are more powerful with the Snapdragon 855. We’re guessing those phones with the latest Qualcomm chipset will be on top of the AnTuTu list but we’ll have to wait and see for a few weeks.
