Yet another Chinese phone manufacturer is introducing a new pair of smartphones. ZTE has just announced its newest Nubia phones: the Nubia Z9 Mini and the Nubia Z9 Max. These two are the latest in the Nubia series of smartphones from the brand. Units will be available first in China this coming April but no mention yet when they will be released in other countries.
The Nubia Z9 Mini is very affordable at only CNY 1,499 which is about $241. It will arrive on April 2 ahead of the ZTE Nubia Max which will be ready by April 16 with a CNY 2,499 ($401) price tag. These two are the rightful successors of the Nubia Z7 Max and Z7 Mini released middle of 2014.
Nubia Z9 Mini
The Nubia Z9 Mini boasts of a 5-inch full-HD display screen. Phone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and comes equipped with a 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 128GB, 8MP front camera, 16MP rear camera, and a 2900mAh battery. The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
Nubia Z9 Max
On the other hand, the Nubia Z9 Max runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It’s the first phone from ZTE to use the said processor. It also runs Nubia UI 2.8 also based on the Android Lollipop platform. Display screen is bigger at 5.5-inches and also features a full-HD IPS screen protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Other specs are similar to the Nubia Z9 Mini: 2900mAh battery, 8MP front camera, 16MP rear camera, 16GB storage, and a microSD card slot.
