Today we are getting a quick look at the brand new ZTE Grand X LTE smartphone running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. What we have here a device similar to the recently announced Mimosa X, and it runs on the new Qualcomm processor with LTE in a single chip, one of the first of its kind. Check out our hands-on below.
Most likely this phone will never make it stateside, but this is what we can look forward to from ZTE in the future. Showing off their new phones at the CommunicAsia event in Singapore. The Grand X is a pretty mid-range phone, but is a good step for both ZTE and Qualcomm to bring powerful devices with 4G LTE to the streets.
The ZTE Grand X LTE rocks the Qualcomm all-in-one and is paired with pretty decent to mid-range specs. They’ve equipped it with a 4.3-inch qHD 540 x 960 display, Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, 1GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage, 8 megapixel shooter with 720p video as well as a decent 1,900 mAh battery. The device feels extremely lightweight and ergonomic, but is wrapped in a Samsung like plastic shell. It isn’t the thinnest smartphone around but is well build, performs smoothly, and seems to be quite nice.
More details, pictures, and spec sheet are available from the gallery of images below. Again we’ll probably never see this phone in the US, but hopefully we’ll see similar products from ZTE soon.
