Your wish for your own personal almost robot is one step closer to coming true. We told you about Sony’s Smart Bluetooth Speaker BSP60 a few months ago and how the egg-like device can actually help you keep up with your digital life with just a simple command of “Okay speaker.” Finally, the tiny smart speaker is available for pre-order on the Xperia website, and you can also bundle it with the SmartBand Talk SWR30 for a limited time offer.
Multi-tasking is a skill that has to acquired by digital natives, and this speaker helps you become a pro with its voice-control that allows you to send messages hands-free, listen to your messages as it’s read back to you, and of course answer your calls and then talk through the speakers. It can also answer basic questions for you, like what the weather will be like today, and it can even answer you in 8 different languages. If you need something cute while listening to music, you can put the device on dance mode which will make it “dance” to the music you’re playing.
The BSP60 also employs NFC capabilities so that you can just tap your smartphone to it and activate some features. If you want to put someone on the speaker or if you want to put your music on loudspeaker, just touch your smartphone onto the speaker. It also has other basic functions like alarm clock, reminder of your schedule for the day which it can read aloud, an alarm system that can let you know if it’s raining, and other personalized features.
You can start pre-ordering the Smart Bluetooth Speaker starting today until June 21. The pre-order bundle which also includes the SmartBand Talk SWR30 will cost you EUR 299, which is around $336, but will only be available for a limited time.
