The YotaPhone 2 isn’t coming to the US because of some manufacturing issues. That’s very unfortunate for the Russian company but looks like some major changes will be witnessed soon by the mobile industry as Yota Devices recently partnered with Chinese phone maker ZTE. As part of the agreement, ZTE is said to help with the production of YotaPhone, as well as, integration and development of software and mobile services.

This move is expected to improve Yota’s name not only in China and the US but the rest of the world. It has already failed its US launch and it didn’t even reach Europe and Asia. The YotaPhone 2 impressed the Android community with its dual-screen game at previous tech fairs but that’s not enough. This partnership with other local companies in different countries could very well improve the Russian phone makers’ strategy.

Even if may take a while to enter the US, Yota should push harder to enter the Chinese market. That would be a really good news and brave of Yota to do because there are a lot of other Chinese rivals to face head on.

At present, the company is working on the YotaPhone 3 due for release during the first quarter next year. Yota plans to produce only 100,000 units initially. Start hoping this next smartphone will finally break into other markets outside Russia and China. Let’s just wait and see.
