When you don’t have the time to actually open your TV or even to watch entire episodes of series, but you still want to be updated with what’s going on in pop culture, then probably what you need is an app that will just let you watch clips of the latest and most popular videos for that day. Oh wait, yes, there apparently is an app that does that already and Yahoo View has finally arrived for Android devices.
From the complete name of the app, which is Yahoo View: Trending TV Clips, you already know its basic function, and that is to give you the ability to see all the most popular talk show snippets, highlights of all your favorite TV series that are on Hulu, plus the latest celebrity and entertainment news videos that were trending the whole day. Not only will you get to see the most viral or hottest clips, but you also can choose which topics or shows you’re interested in and everything will be “neatly organized” for you.
The idea of watching just clips, a lot of them at just 30 seconds or so, may seem strange for some, but sometimes, whether it’s a short attention span or a really busy life, that’s all they can spare. Everything from celebrity interviews, movie trailers, behind-the-scene videos from movies and TV shows, will be easily accessible in the app. You will even be able to watch full episodes of select anime series, like Naruto, Sailor Moon, One-Punch Man, and others.
You can download Yahoo View from the Google Play Store for free. However, it is only currently available in the US, so for those who don’t live there, you still have to search the web if you want to see clips.
