Bots are set to take over the world. Okay, we haven’t reached that part yet, but many are predicting that in the very near future, our digital lives will depend mostly on bots or virtual assistants rather than apps or websites. Yahoo has been working on creating several bots that will serve various online needs, and now you can find them all under one roof. Yahoo Bots is now available for Android devices and they are promising to make your life easier.
The main purpose of the app really is to make it easier to find the bots that you need at the moment. They already have several bots in existence, including Finance, News, Weather, Sports, etc, which allows you to keep on top of the information that you would need from them respectively. You can even manage your Monkey Pets from the app itself, giving you a sort of Tamagochi-like virtual pet, but with monkeys instead.
Just a few days ago, Yahoo also introduced a new bot called Blitz, which is a personal assistant to help those who are (obsessed) serious with their football fantasy teams. This is just one of the unique bots that Yahoo is bringing to the table, and they say to expect more in the next few months as they continue to establish themselves as one of the “bot experts”.
You can download Yahoo Bots from the Google Play Store for free. However, you need to have a Yahoo account in order to use these bots, naturally. So if you’ve already long closed your Yahoo email, it’s time to open a new account probably, if you want to be able to be part of their bot revolution.
