Xiaomi has just rolled out the new Redmi phone in India–the Redmi 3S. We’ve been waiting for the Redmi 4 after some images were leaked but that may take a while as the Redmi 3S is now available in India. This version comes with a metal body design, fingerprint recognition, and a huge 4100mAh battery.
First announced in China, the smartphone is now readily available in India in two variants: 2GBRAM/16GB and 3GBRAM/32GB RAM. The two models are priced at INR 6,999 and 8,999, respectively. Converted to USD, that will be $105 and $135
In China, you can only order from the online store (Mi.com). The latest Redmi model comes equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, and a 5-inch HD display. The Redmi 3S is 0.9mm thinner than the Redmi 2. The phone’s performance is impressive but doesn’t quickly drain the battery. You can have up to 128GB of memory to hold all the songs, videos, movies, and data you need.
Xiaomi boasts that the Redmi 3S is perfect for mobile games that are graphic and animation intensive like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat, and Plants vs Zombies. Compared to the Redmi 2, the Redmi 3S’ battery can last longer. The phone can extend up to 15 hours of gaming, 17 hours of video playback, 39 hours of reading, and 121 hours of music playback. Phone will also be available in Silver, Gold, and Gray colors.
