If you like how the Apple AirPods are designed as well as its sound quality but you don’t want to spend more than a hundred dollars on it, there are some other cheaper alternatives out there. But of course they’re from brands that are a far cry at least image-wise from Apple. Chinese OEM Xiaomi, which already has a dedicated fanbase of their own, has officially unveiled their version of this accessory: the AirDots Pro. The best news is that it’s way less than the $160 tag price of the AirPods.
On the surface, the AirDots Pro looks a lot like the AirPods. They weigh just 5.8g each and they can actually function independently from one another and it will not even affect the sound quality of either or both. They have 7mm neodymium iron boron drivers plus titanium-plated diaphragm that improves frequency response. We don’t know yet if it’s comparable to Apple quality-wise but with the price range, you probably wouldn’t mind so much.
The AirDots also come with active noise cancellation for when you need to use it for your voice calls. It also has touch controls for when you want to access and control your music, when you want to take calls, and when you want to trigger your voice assistant. It can supposedly last for 10 hours on a single charge and if it runs out of juice, you only need an hour to have it fully charged.
The Xiaomi AirDots Pro will only cost you $60 so that’s a hundred dollar saving from your original truly wireless earphones of choice. They will be available for purchase starting January 11.
