If you’ve missed lobbing stuff at your enemies and hearing wormy, wriggly characters talk while doing so, then you’re in luck as the 4th edition of the popular Worms franchise is now available for your Android smartphones and tablets. It’s simply called Worms 4 and is more of the same, if you’ve enjoyed playing it before, with a few tweaks here and there, but is basically almost the same game that you’re used to, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing.
The good news of course is that the 2D graphics have generally improved, as is the user interface which now gives you better controls and menus. The game has been restructured as well for mobile devices, but not to the point where you will not be able to recognize it anymore. You get the three-star scoring system at the end of each level. The live online multiplayer mode now has a one-on-one game so that the levels are just fast. The overworld now has a better structured and more dynamic social system,
But the gameplay hasn’t changed much, because why fix something if it’s not broke in the eyes of your fans? You also get new weapons, weapon upgrades, five new locations, 80 single player missions, factions to help you defeat the enemy easier, plus other customization options as well.
You can download Worms 4 from the Google Play Store for just $2.49. There are still some in-app purchases available, but the most expensive one is just $4, so even if you’re tempted to buy, you don’t have to break the bank.
