In an age where the bigger the screen the better, is there even a demand for a tiny smartphone, one that may fit in half the palm of your hand? Apparently, one little-known OEM thought so. The Posh Mobile Micro X S240 may just be the world’s smallest functioning Android smartphone available in the market right now. The tiny device is now available for purchase on Amazon, just in case you were looking for something basic and extremely small.
You shouldn’t have any expectation that the smartphone would be all that advanced, given its size. With its 2.4-inch display and a 1.0 GHz Mediatek dual-core processor, it is an Android smartphone at its most basic. It has 512MB RAM, 4GB of internal storage and it will come with Android 4.4 KItKat out of the box. If you feel like taking a picture with your smartphone, you can with a 2MP main camera, but no front-facing one.
The mostly low-end specs shouldn’t come at a surprise, since you can only fit that many parts there. And since you have such a small screen, you probably will not be able to install that many apps on it anyway. You can still have the basic ones like photo gallery, web browser, music, messages, etc. Typing will probably be a challenge on it of course, but browsing through various stuff may be tolerable.
So why even have a phone like this? Well for those who are already sick of the big screens, then the Posh Mobile Micro X S240 may seem like a good alternative. You can buy it for $49.99 (save $40 they say) through Amazon.
