Wireless charging may still be limited to the newest of smartphones, but someday, it may probably be the standard way to juice up our mobile devices (And all people who’ve had wire tripping accidents say Amen!). WallJax is trying to crowdsource their simple solutions for more convenient ways to wirelessly charge our devices. The WallJax EZ and Float are just two of their products that will be relying on the support of those clamoring for more wireless changing solutions.
The WallJax EZ can be directly plugged into a 120 volt outlet, but it makes charging more convenient as it has a small shelf that can fit your smartphone that needs to be charged. And even if you use it while charging, you won’t lose any functionality since it passes through AC outlets. And if you need to charge something else at the same time, there is still a USB port at the bottom that any Android device can use.
The WallJax Float in the meantime can be attached to the wall using either screws or non-mark adhesives. It is more convenient as you can just stick or mount it wherever you want, as long as power can get to it. The USB power cord can be attached below or from behind so you can actually hide the cables behind the walls and make it look like it is floating, hence the name.
Both devices have Qi charging coils and can power your devices with 5W of juice. The Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 edge,Note 5 and S6 edge+ are immediately compatible since they use the same standard. It will cost you $59 for the Float and $79 for the EZ if you support them on their Kickstarter campaign starting October 6.
