The Facebook-owned instant messenger has just been updated. The Android version especially gets the latest updates so it’s better to use on mobile for quick messaging and reliable communication. With this update, there’s a new camera and some changes in text formatting and replying, and enhanced Android Wear compatibility. Also included in the update is the ability to reply directly to messages right from the Notifications panel.
The Quick Replies function allows a faster way to send a response to a certain message that just showed up on the notifications. When it comes to text formatting, the update now allows the user to edit the characters and make them bold or set in italics or with strikethrough. Such formatting is important because it’s easy enough to put an emphasis on words.
You can also now add or delete multiple chats, mute them, or archive multiple chats. If you want to edit a series of chat, tag and hold one, select the rest and then archive, delete, or mute at once. The Quick Camera button allows any user to quickly send photos from the library or take a new one using the camera.
