The Facebook-owned WhatsApp still has a lot more room for improvements. It’s now the top instant messaging program in the world today but it still lacks some features that can turn it into one of the best communication tools ever for both personal and professional use. It clearly has a rival in Viber and Facebook Messenger so it needs to updated regularly.
There’s the idea of a Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp integration but that may be far from now. So before that happens, we can still enjoy the standalone app and its numerous updates which are currently in beta. Some of the new features include link copying, sending documents, and delete options on older chats. Attaching files and documents are now possible with the app update but for now, only PDF files are allowed on the Android version. The updated app is now live on the Play Store.
Many advantages of WhatsApp include the multimedia features, free calls, group chat, quick connection, and offline messages. You can also customize notification sounds and wallpapers. You can email your chat history for future reference or archiving and broadcast messages to multiple contacts at once.
Download WhatsApp Messenger from the Google Play Store. If you still can’t see the updated app, you can just sign up for the beta version under the testing program.
