In these days more than ever, streaming media for entertainment and work to a bigger display is the norm. Big screen TVs are expected to be able to handle at least on e or two ways of streaming video. But display outfit VIZIO is riding the streaming bandwagon full-on, releasing its lines of Ultra HD all-streaming large screen displays. Today, they’re launching the VIZIO M-series and it contains all that you need for streaming media to it.
VIZIO’s displays do not have a fancy operating system that allows it to be smart, it relies mostly on what you stream to it. But the best thing about it is that it comes with its own 6-inch Android tablet that you can use to manage all the apps and content you have. And since the tablet is Android-powered, you can install all your streaming apps from the Play Store.
The VIZIO M-series of displays start from 50-inches and goes all the way up to 80-inch displays. These displays feature advanced picture technologies such as Ultra HD (up to 4K resolution) and High Dynamic Range with Dolby Vision support. The M-Series also features Full-Array LED backlighting with up to 64 Active LED Zones, twice as many as the 2015 M-Series collection.
The 50-inch M-series model will retail for USD$850, while the largest 80-inch display will set you back a premium USD$4,000. Of course, if money isn’t an issue, then this could be the entertainment display-slash-plaything you’d want to have. The question is, who will be able to afford it?
