The competition among US carriers is at an all-time high now, since customer loyalty is really not that stable anymore. People will shift to which one has the best offer of course. Over on Verizon’s corner, they have now officially confirmed that they are increasing their current plans with Verizon Plan, but also adding more data to compensate. They are also launching the new My Verizon app which will let you control and access various details about your plan.

The app gives you a real-time feed where you can see your account details, how much data you’ve already consumed, your billing details, and other important things you may need to know. The Data Hub will also show you how much data your account has already consumed and if you need more, you can also buy more allocation from the app itself. You can also use the app to buy and customize the latest devices that Verizon is offering. It will also offer you on-demand support within the app without you needing to make that call to customer support.

The Verizon Plan offers customers a bit more expensive plans, but you also get more data allocation, since most users now prefer to have that more than other features from their carrier. It also comes with unlimited talk and text and the Carryover Data feature. This means you will be able to keep your unused data and it will carry over to your data allocation for the next month. You can actually switch between data sizes through the My Verizon app.

You also get the option to turn on the Safety Mode at an additional $5 per month so that if you hit your data limit, you’ll move from 4G LTE to 128kbps without paying anything additional. For an additional $15/month, you can get Data Boost which will bring you additional data and get you back to 4G LTE. There is also now international call and roaming for Mexico and Canada, free on Plan XL and XXL, and $2/day on the other smaller plans.
